Russian listening practice
Fifteen everyday dialogues in three sets, from ordering coffee to an interview with a writer. Listen with the transcript closed and answer the gist question. Then open the transcript to see every word glossed, and replay any line until you can hear each word.
Real listening means understanding before you see the words. Each dialogue follows the same three steps. The two speakers have different voices so you can tell them apart. Listening well is a skill in any language; see our guide to active listening.
Use slow speed for a first listen, then switch to normal once you can follow.
